A partner, not another task
THE SITUATION
De Bock Maritiem is a shipowner and ship manager with a reputation for bold, sustainable innovation. Like every owner trading in Europe, the company has to monitor and report the emissions of its vessels under EU MRV.
THE CHALLENGE
Emissions reporting for EU MRV is a separate, specialised task: measuring fuel consumption accurately, compiling the reports and handling the verifier. De Bock Maritiem wanted a partner to take that process off its plate, and a clear view of what each vessel is doing.

“Now I can see on one screen what is happening.”
Cynthia Everduin · Operational Director, De Bock Maritiem
The solution – and what it delivered
Green Maritime filled that gap with GM Premium. Our technicians installed flowmeters on board and connected the Green Maritime application to Marad, the maintenance system De Bock Maritiem uses. Operational, fuel and maintenance data now come together in one place. We also prepare the fuel consumption reports for EU MRV and act as the point of contact for the verifier.
1 · TRIAL One chemical tanker → 2 · INSTALL Flowmeters on board →
3 · CONNECT Linked to Marad → 4 · ROLL-OUT The whole fleet
Real-time insight
At any moment, De Bock Maritiem can see what each vessel is doing.
Earlier action
“Now we know sooner whether maintenance is needed.”
Compliance off their plate
From the flowmeters to the MRV reporting and the contact with the verifier – handled.
From trial to fleet
After one successful trial on a chemical tanker, the rollout was extended to the entire fleet.
What's next
For Cynthia, the value is in being ready to act: “What matters is that we now have the insight to act on, whenever there's a good reason to.”
Together, De Bock Maritiem and Green Maritime are looking at monitoring more on board – such as engine components and cooling water – “so you can step in before something breaks.”
